Migrant Bench

‘Migrant Bench’ is designed as an object that signals a connection to the car-free zone by reflecting the visual trace and context of street graffiti found in the main outside of the car free zone. By designing a ‘Migrant Bench’ that always travels with ‘Migrant Car’ this piece of moveable street furniture becomes not only a contingent object but one that relates to the territorial marks of tags made in the area, here made by Norwegian illustrator, Eirik Hellebust Kristiansen. The bench designed in white encourages interaction and absorption of the marks of passersby and the benches surface interaction with the city.
